Something different...
In late 24' I shared one of my best pieces of work to date, my Oasis inspired painting titled 'Live Forever' to celebrate their iconic reunion.
Due to the Manchester based admiration for the duo I wanted to try something a bit different... I created beer mats featuring the artwork on it and stocked them in local pubs in my hometown. The response was great, and due to high demand I made them available for people all over the world to purchase for themselves on my website.
I enjoyed doing something a bit different and definitely plan to create more miscellaneous items featuring my artwork in the future.
Artist in residence...
Talking of doing something a bit different, in the summer of 25' I became an artist in residence at Manchester based shoe customisation company, Matt B Customs.
This new venture allowed me to take my skills and create one of a kind footwear and even hand paint some intricate designs onto the cameras of FUJIKINA LONDON 25' attendees in collaboration with FUJIFILM, which was definitely a new experience but one that I loved.
So close...
After 6 years of absence, worldwide superstar Drake announced that he'd be doing some shows in the UK the following month.
Drake has always been one of my favourite artists and has created a large majority of the soundtrack to my journey, filling me with ambition and determination to reach the levels I desire - like he has. Therefore it's always been a dream of mine to meet him, so I created a late notice painting inspired by his recent album '$ome $exy $ongs 4 U' and let social media do it's thing.
I was instructed by some members of his team to go to a certain place at a certain time and there was a chance I'd be able to present the painting to him. Unfortunately due to traffic delays, Drake and his team were in a rush and despite extremely briefly meeting him I wasn't able to present the artwork to him.
A very near miss, however with Drake confessing his love for the UK and stating that he'll be back sooner than we think, I'm not giving up just yet...
